It's October
And school is upon me. Minimum 40-60 hours a week at school = no time for crafts. Also, very little money helps that ultimatum. Maybe later, maybe some other time. As far as I go...no crafts for a while I'm sure. As far as my friend goes? Well, it's probably the same. Ta~

TWO! Updates! - SamRI
First! I know that it has been FOREVER since I posted anything, and even further in the forever that my partner here has posted something; we have both been in a craft-rutt, so-to-speak...anyways, I have completed two, count-em, TWO, projects within the past week or so. Number 1:
The framed baby Yoshi's from Super Mario World piece! Every type of Yoshi, in baby form, is presented here in a very nice matting and frame! A lovely piece for say...a babies room, or a game room, or my girlfriend's room!
Number 2!: Bub (or is it Bob?) from Bubble Bobble Painting!

Acrylic on canvas it will match Bob (or Bub?) when I am start and finish it! I have a bunch of canvases, paintbrushes, and paint! So prepare for more paintings! (If...my craft-add doesn't take a hold of me first) I do have a perler bead piece, a simple Klonoa (gba sprite ver.) that I will post of picture of eventually. Personal life entry next, stop reading if you don't feel like listening to my life.
School starts in approximately two weeks and I would rather have pancreatic cancer than go back...but what can you do? Craft time during school time? This will, im sure, become a minimum. Full load of classes, with capstone research, and other blah blah blah, and I have a recipe for craft procrastination, but we'll see. It just needs to be over with.
BUT WAIT! After this year is grad school! And where? Heck if I know!!!! I should probably figure that out say...within the next month? When was I supposed to be working on this? Answer: the past three months. GRE's too. Woo. But that ends my rant/story. *The more you know*

GAMEBOY CLOCK! - SamRI
So the story begins about a 1.5 weeks ago. I came across a Goodwill and found an old Gameboy in it. Because I am a whore for collecting these things (people that know me can agree to this) I bought it. Turns out: it didn't work. After an hour or two trying to fix it I gave up and pronounced it officially dead. Know I had a useless Gameboy. What to do with it?
A few minutes of thinking and it came to me: a clock! A few more minutes of this strange "thinking" I though of an addition to this: the clock lights up when you flip with Gameboy on/off switch. So I instantly set about working...when I got off work. A week later with much hardship, use of my dremel, sodering gun and newly purchased glue gun...

Tarts! - SamRI

All craft projects are kind of at a halt due to lack of funds, and lack of black perler beads :( I had a safeway gift card so I decided to bake something! I chose...tarts! Blackberry to be exact. I have no clue how they turned out tastewise....I'll be trying them later today.
[EDIT] The tarts are basically amazing. Crust is a little too thick...but when the crust itself tastes delicious...it just doesn't matter.

Bub is now complete!! - mochi
In other news, I have a meeting with Mission Beach Cafe! I'll just be bringing in a resume and meeting with the kitchen manager, and hopefully catch the very busy pastry chef...then hopefully head to Davis for some sushi with my godbrothers. Also, I might get a decorating job at That Takes the Cake, a cupcake place in Marina. I've applied to a dozen other jobs, so hopefully I hear from them soon. I really need a job soon, because after this month I have no more school loans coming in, and I kinda got screwed over at Candybar since the chef took back the offer he gave me to work 2 days a week. Oh well, hopefully I'll find something better and more realistic of a kitchen setting than Candybar is. I also have the option to move back to Seattle or Manila, but I suppose that's another blog entry...I dont feel like typing it all out right now. Don't worry, I'm sure I'll figure things out soon. :)
Anyway hopefully once I get finished with the towel and find a job, I can spare a little money to get more Perler beads to start a new project...I also wanna do something with my fat yarn stash, so we'll see what I come up with this summer!
